Feathers

I didn't see any blood, but it looks the scene of a crime. If you can forget for a moment the reason for the feathers to be lying there, and take the time to really look at the colors — the complete absence of color in the inky black and the boldness of the yellow — and all of the lines and curves and patterns in the feathers juxstaposed against each other, and that palette laying on top of that of the leaves below, there is still beauty to be found.
