Poem
I found this poem written on the back of a printout of the guitar tabs for the Sex Pistols' Anarchy in the UK. I don't know the exact date I wrote it, but I remember the inspiration being my daughter Elisabeth, an infant at the time (she's 30 now and soon the be married), and my desperate urge I would feel to find some way to always keep her safe.
In a weird twist, the song Anarchy in the UK ended up revisiting us years later as a motivational song while we were driving to one of Lis' soccer games when she was in high school. It kinda became an anthem and I would kid her by calling her "Liz Vicious".
In a further, and more recent twist, we actually sang this song together on the spur of the moment at a friends get-together with a live band just two weeks ago.
Anyway, here's the poem.
